Police, Obiano assure Anambra of adequate security during Christmas

Obiano compensates onitsha fire victims with N100m

Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Celestine Okoye has assured Anambra people of adequate security during the Christmas.

He gave the assurance during a courtesy call on the state Governor, Willie Obiano  at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.

Mr Okoye who is the DIG in charge of ICT said he chose the State as his first port of call before proceeding to other States because it is home state.

The DIG hailed Obiano’s efforts at ensuring security of lives and property of Anambra people saying that he had an extensive discussion with the Governor on how to compliment his efforts in the State.

He promised that something new will come into the State through his office soon

In his speech, Governor Obiano explained that he is heading one of the very crucial areas his administration has vested interest.

He said, “Anambra people will sleep with their two eyes closed this yuletide.”

On his part, the State Commissioner of police, CP John Abang restated his commitment to supporting the Governor noting that the high tech surveillance equipments procured by the present administration has all been deployed to ensure adequate security in the state.

He maintained that Anambra is the only State in Africa where such high tech equipments are used.
