NYCN mourns its ex-president, Oluwole

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) on Saturday in Abuja expressed sadness over the sudden death of its former Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the council, Mr Ibukun-Oluwa Oluwole.
NYCN’s grief was conveyed in a statement issued by Malam Gambo Jagindi, Senior Special Adviser on Media to the President of NYCN, Murtala Garba.

Jagindi said Oluwole died on Thursday at the National Hospital Abuja after he sustained head injuries following a ghastly motor accident on his way to the State Chairmen’s Forum of NYCN in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

According to Jagindi, the death of Oluwole has created a huge vacuum that will be difficult to replace in the council.
“NYCN received the news of the death of Oluwole who was involved in a fatal accident a few days ago with shock.
“ Oluwole was an active youth leader who dedicated and laid down his life for the progress of Nigerian Youths and a better nation.
“ His demise is a great tragedy to the nation which he served selflessly, Nigerian youths, whom he represented nationally and his immediate family who will greatly miss him.

“ With heavy hearts, we ask God in His infinite mercy to console his family and grant the departed, eternal rest, “`Jagindi said.
He said that Oluwole would be remembered for his commitment, passion, doggedness and passion for youth and national development.
Oluwole, an indigene of Ekiti state, was born in 1983 in Ijero in Ekiti; he is survived by wife and children.
