Idahosa backs Oyakhilome’s 5G claims on COVID-19, feeds hundreds of Lagosians

The General Overseer of Illumination Assembly, God First Ministries Inc and Archbishop designate Isaac Idahosa has berated critics of Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, President of Believers Love World Incorporated, popularly known as Christ Embassy over his claims that there are established links between Fifth Generation Network, 5G, Covid-19 and the anti-Christ that the scripture had foretold.

In a recently well circulated video, Oyakhilome in a sermon streamed live, had stated that the lockdown order by the Federal Government of Nigeria was a ploy to enable them install 5G in Abuja and Lagos insisting that 5G was the real reason most people are currently sick and some dying around the world.

He pointed out that the Coronavirus pandemic was created in order to popularize the 5G network which is gradually gaining attention across the world adding that 5G was part of the new world order to establish one government, one world religion and one world economy.

The cleric posited that with the 5G, the COVID-19, and the vaccine, the new world order will achieve its aim of connecting the entire world with the mark of the beast even as he declared that with the attention given to the vaccine because of fear and the love for the fifth generation communications technologies, everyone will embrace it as a solution to their problems.

But throwing his weight behind Oyakhilome on the issue, Bishop Idahosa said he holds Oyakhilome in high regard because, according to him, the latter is an ivory of knowledge and a man of great intellectuality.

According to Idahosa, instead of criticizing Oyakhilome and trashing his claims, critics should have asked for evidences, because, he believes the cleric would not have spoken if he was not convinced about his claims.

“He is a man I respect so much, and a man of the spirit and an intellectual. He is a man who does not just speak. This is the first time I’m hearing him speaking out (on issues of national concern). I’m very sure if he doesn’t know what he was saying, he would not have spoken. It is always good for us to hear from the horse’s mouth.

“Like he did said, bring out your facts, these are my facts, let’s put them on the table. Let’s learn from each other. Iron sharps iron. These are my take on the controversy. Pastor Chris would not speak out of the blue. He must have seen something, or read something, or he knows what we don’t know,” he noted.

Speaking further on the state of the nation, and how the government is handling the pandemic outbreak in Nigeria, Idahosamaintained that although, the Federal Government did not act fast enough to nip the situation in the bud.

He said the efforts of the government are commendable even though they fell short of expectations.

He opined that the government should pay more attention to developing the nation’s health sector. “Although, the government did not act fast enough to handle the outbreak of the pandemic in the country, we still commend their efforts so far. We only need to improve on the model we are creating from this pandemic going forward. Our health system is in porous state and I appreciate the honesty of Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation who recently opened up that the nation’s health sector was in a bad shape.

“After COVID-19 is over, some of the created isolation centers should be retained as medical centers to decongest existing general hospitals. More medical equipment should be invested in such as ventilators, it doesn’t speak well that we have only few ventilators not enough to cater for our sick population. Nigeria can become a medical tourism country like India and Germany and the rest, if we invest resources appropriately,” he stated.

Idahosa further encouraged people to obey public law instructing them to stay at home as it was in the interest of all.

Meanwhile, speaking during Easter when he fed the physically challenged persons, he said the exercise was an act of love to the ones in need adding that some people are hungry and are lacking means of survival at this critical period that Nigeria is battling COVID-19 global pandemic and Easter celebration.

“What we did was Jesus Christ’s commandment to us as believers. We are to be our brother’s keeper. The reason we are blessed, is that we become a source of blessing to other people. We have a mandate to replicate the goodness of God in the lives of others.

“This is a very crucial time for us as a people. The COVID-19 lockdown is on, and there’s even an extension now. We are aware of the plight of some people, who do not have what to eat. What we did with the excercise was that we fed people today as an act of giving back from what the Lord has blessed us with. As the saying goes, charity begins at home. We started from our own Jerusalem, the church. In an organized manner, we invited most of our congregants to feast with us first.

“Then, we proceeded from there to other by-ways and then Ajah round about, where we fed multitudes of needy people, destitutes and physically challenged people including the blind, those on wheel chairs and the likes.”

The Bishop shed light on why edible meals were distributed as against raw food materials. According to the Edo born clergy, he had embarked on a similar charity ball weeks earlier, as first phase of the exercise, where raw food stuffs including bags of rice, vegetable oil bottles and hand sanitizers were distributed to hundreds of beneficiaries as lockdown relief materials.

However, his experience from the first phase of the exercise made him realize that some indigent persons who were homeless couldn’t even cook raw food, while some still asked for condiments including seasoning to cook with. That for the clergy informed the decision to make and distribute edible food on the second phase of the exercise.

On ensuring strict compliance to the directive of the government on social distancing during the exercise, Idahosa explained, “we tried as much as we could to maintain orderliness while going about the exercise. However, I must confess that while we were at Ajah round about, the crowd almost got of hand, but thanks to the security operatives who were with us. They helped us restorede normalcy and orderliness, everyone had something to eat and were satisfied”.

The clergy who expressed a deep sense of accomplishment and feeling of self-satisfaction from the exercise, enlightened that anyone who gave genuinely was bound to feel that sense of fulfillment, because giving was a lifestyle.

“Giving is living. All the millions anyone has wouldn’t amount to nothing if he could not share with people in need. Even God is a giver. The Bible said in John 3:16, For God so loved the world and He ‘gave’ his begotten son. It is also important to give genuinely. The heart determines the height.”
