How I broke second term jinx in my constituency— Edo lawmaker


Member representing Esan West Constituency, Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Monday Ehighalua at the weekend said he devoted quality time and cordial interaction with his constituents to break the jinx of second term since 1999 as elected member

The People’s Democratic Party lawmaker disclosed this to newsmen when he gave account of his second term, mid-term achievement

“Fromday one I told myself I will leave a positive mark in every ward and I can identify a project with the people, courtesy of me . By the grace of God I have score above average, reason why my people re-elected me. Votes in my constituency are not for sale”

The lawmaker enlisted the re-enforcement of electricity and supply of transformers to Ukhu, Ekpoma , Ogwu, Ujogba, Emando, Orohi including the construction of six block of classrooms, staff room, toilet and principal office at Emando and Ikekogbe primary school amongst others as some of his constituency projects

“I was re-elected to represent my constituency in trust that I have the capacity to give them adequate representation and at the end of the day my success or otherwise as a legislator will be measure by the number of projects

He however promised to work in harmony with other members of the State Assembly towards enhancing legislative/executive relationships and provision of basic amenities such as good roads, quality education, potable water to the people of his constituency
