The House of Representatives on Tuesday adjourned plenary session till Wednesday to mourn the demise of a member Hon. Jafaru Iliyasu who suddenly passed on Monday .
Deputy Speaker of the House Hon.Idris Wase announced the adjournment after the approval of votes and proceedings of Thursday
He said that the House is mournful mood and saddened over the death of the departed lawmaker who he described as hardworking and forthright.
Wase urged the House to pray for the repose of the soul of their departed colleague and enjoined the lawmakers to observe a minute silence over the sad loss.
We had earlier reported that Hon. Jafaru Iliyasu member of the House from Niger State had suddenly died after a trip from Lagos to Abuja after a retreat of the Committee on Public Accounts.
As a mark of tradition, the House always suspends plenary and other legislative activities wherever a member of the Senate or House passes on.
