FEDPOFFA principal administrators get 2nd term


THE Honourable Okey Ezenwa-led Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Offa (FEDPOFFA) has, at her 7th Regular Meeting, ratified the reappointment of three Principal Officers of the Polytechnic. They are Dr. Kuburat Ayodele Olaosebikan, Deputy Rector, Administration; Alh. AbdulHamid Raji, Registrar and Mr. Paul Kehinde Adegbemi, Bursar.
The reappointment which takes effect from 9th of April, 2nd of January and 15th of March, 2015 respectively, is for the second and final term of the Officers in office.
Born in June 1959, Dr. Olaosebikan, immediately after her elementary education, proceeded to ECWA Girls’ Secondary School, Omu-Aran. She was there from 1973 to 1977. She was at the School of Basic Studies, Kwara State College of Technology, Ilorin after which she left for the premier university, the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, to study English. After graduation in 1983, she was at the University of Port-Harcourt for Post-Graduate Diploma in Education, 1988 – 1989.
She obtained Masters in Communication Arts, University of Ibadan, 1999, Certificates in Computer Appreciation and Operation, Certificate in Advanced Digital Appreciation and PhD in Communications from Atlantic International University, Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America (USA).
Dr. Olaosebikan joined the services of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa in 1992 as a Lecturer I from where she rose to become a Chief Lecturer.
A Communication Consultant and a member of many professional bodies, Dr. Olaosebikan has wealth of administrative and academic experience.
The Registrar, Alh. AbdulHamid Omoniyi Raji, was born  55 years ago in Benin.  He is an indigene of Ilorin, Ilorin West Local Government Area.
He attended Edaiken Ahmadiyya Primary School, Benin City between 1966 and 1971, Hussey College, Warri between 1972 and 1976, Ilorin Grammar School, Ilorin between 1976 and 1977 for his O’ Levels, Federal Government College, Ilorin between 1977 and 1979 for his A’ Levels and later proceeded to the University of Ilorin between 1980 and 1983 where he bagged his B.A (Hons) in History and again in 1995 to 1997 for his MPA programme.  He also possesses a Certificate in Public Relations from Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ikeja in 1990.
He was also at the Sakato Government Secondary School, Numan in the then Gongola State (now Adamawa State) between 1983 and 1984 for the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.   He was employed by Kwara State Teaching Service Commission from November, 1984 and served in three different secondary schools where he held different positions of responsibility.
An erudite administrator and well versed in the Public Service Rules and Regulations, Alh. AbdulHamid was appointed the Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic Offa commencing from January, 2010.
He is a member of Nigeria Institute of Personnel Management (ACIPM), Member, Nigeria Institute of Management (MNIM), Fellow, Certified Institute of Management (FCIM), and Institute of Corporate Administration (FCA), among others.
The Bursar, Mr. Paul Kehinde Adegbemi, was born in the 50s. He hails from Ogun State. Mr. Adegbemi began his elementary education in 1965 at St. Patrick’s Primary School, Yaba, Lagos State and proceeded to St. Anthony’s Grammar School, Ijebu-Mushin, Ogun State from 1971 to 1975. He was later at St. Finbarr’s College, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos State between 1975 to 1977.
Between 1977 to 1979, he was at Baptist Academy Shepherd’s Hill, Obanikoro, Lagos State from where he proceeded to the University of Lagos, Akoka, and had his B.Sc in Finance in 1982.
He was also at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State between 2006 and 2008 for his Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
A member of the prestigious Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Mr. Adegbemi joined the services of the Polytechnic in 1992 and became the Polytechnic Bursar in 2009.
