…Says financial inducement bane of Nigerian politicians

OBIORA IFOH, Abuja

The National Working Committee of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) has condemned in strong terms the sudden defection of Comrade Abatcha Bukar, Borno State chairman alongside the deputy governorship candidate, Comrade Zanna Shettima of the party to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Reacting to the incident at the party’s secretariat in Abuja, spokesman of the party, Comrade Segun Jones, said: “The unfortunate cross carpeting of the former leaders smacks of political harlotry at the zero hour when all hands should be on deck to ensure the victory of Capt. Ibrahim Mshelia at the polls on Saturday.

“We are not aware that these political mistletoes could perfect their betrayal just two days to the day of glory of our great party in Borno State. Some of our politicians have lost their pride and dignity to financial inducement that is the bane of Nigerian politics”.

The party enjoined their teeming loyalists and supporters in Borno State to troupe out en-masse on Saturday to vote Capt. Ibrahim Mshelia as the next governor of the state and put these political detractors into  shame.
