The former Governor of Lagos State and Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, was in Kano to commiserate with the government and the people of the state over the sudden demise of an elders statesman, Alhaji Yusuf Maitama Sule.
He expressed his satisfaction on the numerous projects executed by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje administration within a limited time of two years of economic recession.
Tinubu made the assertion after driving through the city endowed with variety of projects cut across its length and breadth.
He told the teeming people who gathered to catch a glimpse of the man who stood on ground to ensure President Muhammadu Buhari bid for power was realized at all cost.
Tunubu, who described Governor Ganduje as a great performer of the time encouraged him to keep the tempo as he has no doubt for his return.
He said in spite of the nation’s economic doldrums, some APC governors are performing wonders as he gave credence to Ganduje for leading in this aspect of governance.
He emphasized that the Governor deserved another term and more to continue with the good work.
Furthermore, Senator Tunubu having satisfied with Ganduje’s level of tolerance, described him as very humble man who has the love of his people at heart.
That is notwithstanding, he assured him that the party at national level was aware of his achievements and are proud of him.
He stressed that though 2019 general election will surely come along with challenges in some States, he said Kano was excluded as a result of what he has seen on ground.
Governor Ganduje has continued deliver the promised he made during the electioneering campaigns in 2015.
The PhD holder in sociology and ardent administrator is enjoying the support of the teeming populace in the state for his sympathetic and peace initiatives.
Immediately after the death of the elder statesman was announced in spite of his busy schedules, Ganduje cleared his table of governance business and replaced it receiving prominent people from all walks of life to commiserate with the state.
As if that was not all, he consequently immortalized him by naming his street after him and the Northwest University.
He has also requested the Federal Government to see the need to immortalize him so that his quest for peace during his live time will remain in memory.
With regard to the ongoing political rift in the state, the amiable governor has curiously maintained that politicians should not allow politics to divide them as he believed there is a way out, advising them to make peace reign supreme at all cost regardless of incessant attacks on radio programmes.
Remarkably, the support for his administration was demonstrated at APC Congress held in Kano to replace some vacancies including the the party leadership at state level.
The result apparently indicated the appetite of the people of the state to vote him for a second tenure of office as his decisions were held paramount with his choice for the party leadership in the state Abdullahi Abbas widely and overwhelmingly voted to end the standing leadership tussle in the state.
Accordingly, a member of Kano State House of Assembly representing Kunci/Tsanyawa, Hon Garba Ya’u Gwarmai reiterated that with the way the Congress was held for the 44 local governments has clearly ruled out the insinuations that the party leadership in Kano is under the respected Governor and nobody else as it is in other states of the federation with Abdullahi Abbas as the newly elected APC Chairman in Kano state he concluded.
He contended that there is reason why some politicians argued this fact perhaps just because Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is a gentleman and peace loving Governor.
Hon Garba Gwarmai emphasized on the commitment of the people to keep the tempo and vehemently denied critics and their political activities until when the die is cast and the Governor is pronounced the winner of 2019 general election.
