…Plunges communities into darkness

The Transmission Company of Nigeria has decried activities of wood loggers in Ukana town, by Nineth Mile-Nsukka road, Enugu, which regrettably damaged the transmission line between Oji River and Nsukka in Enugu State, cutting off electricity supply to the 2x 7.5MVA 66/11KV transmission Substation in Nsukka, which supplies electricity to Nsukka town in Enugu State.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria, Lagos Region, has announced that many parts of the state will experience blackout between 10am and 1pm today (Monday).

According to the TCN, the affected areas are Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Alagbon, Apapa, Ijora, Surulere, Itire, Oshodi, Mushin; the Nigerian Airforce Base, Shogunle, and their environs.

FOLLOWING incessant attacks on gas pipeline and recent grid instability being experienced by millions of electricity consumers nationwide, the management of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) and the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) are currently working on a contractual agreement by which Nigeria Integrated Power Project (NIPP) plants would provide about 265MW of Spinning Reserves.
