The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) hereby state that it has procured three number reactors, which have been deployed to Ikot Ekpene, Jos and Apir Transmission Substations for installation. The reactors are to help correct the voltage problem along the 330kV Ikot Ekpene- Ugwuaji-Makurdi- Jos Transmission Line axis.
In furtherance to its mandate of connecting the whole nation to the national grid as well as improving its wheeling capacity, Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN,previous yesterday, commissioned its first offshore substation in Ilashe Island, Oriade Local Government Development Area, LCDA, in Lagos State.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria has decried activities of wood loggers in Ukana town, by Nineth Mile-Nsukka road, Enugu, which regrettably damaged the transmission line between Oji River and Nsukka in Enugu State, cutting off electricity supply to the 2x 7.5MVA 66/11KV transmission Substation in Nsukka, which supplies electricity to Nsukka town in Enugu State.

THE Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN has articulated a 15 year incremental working plan to take the current power generation capacity of 2200MW to 10,000MW by 2019 and subsequently, 20,000MW by 2022.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria, Lagos Region, has announced that many parts of the state will experience blackout between 10am and 1pm today (Monday).
According to the TCN, the affected areas are Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Alagbon, Apapa, Ijora, Surulere, Itire, Oshodi, Mushin; the Nigerian Airforce Base, Shogunle, and their environs.
