Lamido Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Mustapha, on Thursday in Yola, said insecurity under the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan almost forced him into fleeing the country. He said his best option was migrating to Cameroon, which shares international boundary with Adamawa State.

Two zones in the southern part of the country, South-West and South-South, are in the race to produce the next national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, investigations by our correspondent have revealed.

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has passed a vote of confidence on the state governor, Dr Peter Ayodele Fayose as he has performed creditably well even within the meager resources available to the state government.
Following the resolution of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday relieving the Executive Secretaries of the 57 Local Governments Councils and Local Council Development Areas in the State of their responsibilities, the State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the immediate dissolution of the Caretaker Committees.
As part of its preparation for the council poll, the Lagos State House of Assembly has ordered the State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode to dissolve the Caretaker Committees of the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the State.
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has granted pardon to 17 prisoners serving various jail terms in the state.He equally commuted the death sentences on four other prisoners to life imprisonment.
