The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that the defection of Senate President Bukola Saraki, Sokoto state Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and the Kano State Deputy Governor, Prof. Hafizu Abubakar amongst others into its fold was a right direction towards repositioning PDP as the only vehicle to rescue the nation from the mis-governance of the APC.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has said the defection of Senate President Bukola Saraki, Governors Abdulfatah Ahmed and Aminu Tambuwal of Kwara and Sokoto States, respectively, National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, and other Party members to the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) did not come to it as a surprise and cannot be a distraction to the party.
