NSITF Board: NLC vows to picket Ngige's office, homes on Wednesday

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has said that it will tomorrow (Wednesday) begin picketing of the offices of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, including all places of interest to the Minister, Chris Ngige, for failing to inaugurate the board of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund(NSITF).

New minimum wage: NLC replies Buhari

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has stated that no Technical Committee will look into the already agreed N30,000.The NLC was reacting to President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement that a “high powered technical committee” would be set up to look into the ability of state governments to pay the already agreed minimum wage to avoid job loss.

Breaking: Labour suspends planned nationwide strike


Barring last minute change of heart, organized labour in the country has concluded arrangements to commence a nationwide strike on November 6, if the Federal Government fails to meet its demands on the new national minimum wage of N30,000 agreed upon by the tripartite committee on minimum wage.
