For a better society

Wife of the Governor of Lagos State, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode on Monday flagged-off the State’s mass  de-worming exercise for primary school pupils in the State, charging parents in the state to encourage hand-washing among their children, as well as maintain a clean and healthy environment so as to prevent them contracting worm infections.

Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos State has called for zero tolerance for female genital mutilation. His wife and founder of Hope for Women in Nigeria Initiative, HOFOWEM, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, also called for a multi-disciplinary approach to ending the practice, stressing that the effort would involve legislations, professional health organizations, women empowerment and public sensitization.
