Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have asked President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of the party to urgently declare a state of emergency in Imo state, even as they accused Governor Rochas Okorocha of making hate speeches fueling the IPOB agitations in South-east.

The Nigeria Police Force said it had arrested four suspects for criminal conspiracy, forgery, stealing and unlawful possession of electoral materials meant for the aborted APC ward congress in Imo.

The Imo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force have paraded 49 suspects who committed various crimes ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, murder, arson and child theft among others. The State Commissioner of Police, CP, Chris Ezike disclosed this to newsmen Monday at the command headquarters Owerri.
