Innoson: GTBank Chairman Demuren, MD Agbaje risk imprisonment over alleged contempt

The Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), Segun Agbaje, its Chairman, Mrs Osaretin Demuren and the Company Secretary, Erhi Obebeduo, are expected to physically appear before the Federal High Court Awka, to show cause why they should not be committed for contempt and sent to prison.

Innoson fires back at GTBank, vows to takeover financial institution

Innoson Group has vowed to takeover Nigeria’s financial institution, GTBank.Cornel Osigwe, Head of Corporate Communications, said this in a statement, while reacting to GTBank response he said: “GTB in a press statement signed by Erhi Obebeduo, claimed that “the judgment allegedly in issue is in respect of Garnishee Proceedings against the account of the Nigerian Customs Service Board domiciled with the Bank and not against the Bank as an entity”. GTB by this claim is nothing short of being economical with the truth.

Innoson Lied: Admits disseminating false Information about GTBank , Supreme court judgment

Innoson has today admitted that there was no Supreme Court judgement against GTBank. After falsely claiming a victory at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Chairman of Innoson Motors, Dr Innocent Chukwuma has admitted to completely distorting the directive of the Supreme Court and publicly apologized for spreading fake and malicious news. Innoson had earlier deleted his declaration on social media that the apex court has ordered GTBank to pay him N14bn within 14 days.

FG moves to have Innoson boss arrested

Innocent Chukwuma may be having the last laugh over his travail with GTBank giving the Supreme Court ruling today striking out the bank’s motion for stay of execution of the Enugu Court of Appeal Division’s order that it should pay over N6 Billion into an interest yielding account at the Court of Appeal. The Supreme Court also ordered GTBank to pay Innoson N14 billion within 14 days.

Guaranty Trust Bank PLC (GTBank) has won 3 awards at the EMEA Finance Awards, 2017. The awards are the Best Bank in Nigeria, Best Bank for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Africa, and the Bank’s Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Segun Agbaje got the award for the CEO of the Year.
