The National body of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers Union of Nigeria (PENGASSAN)

has incidentally shut down Baker Hughes , an oil and Gas oil servicing company at Trans-Amadi in Port Harcourt, for rejecting a Collective Bargaining Agreement, CBA signed at the instance of the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige on July 17, 2016.


 Senate on Wednesday recommended capital punishment for anyone found guilty of kidnapping in the country.

Senate resolution was sequel to  the report of Senate Committee on Police chaired by Senator Abu Ibrahim who also recommended adequate funding of security agencies in order to combat kidnapping appropriately.



THE hope of some unemployed youths were re-kindled yesterday following the statement by the Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, that government will not pay people N5,000.00 for idleness but that they will engage the youths in skilled labour, teaching and Agriculture.
