The David Mark Campaign Organization today refuted in strong terms media reports credited to the Director of Publicity, Dan Onjeh,Campaign Organization Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, alluding to the fact that Senator Mark has recruited militants from the Niger Delta to prosecute his rerun.


Crisis brewing between President Goodluck Jonathan and the National Assembly on some provisions of the Constitution Amendment Bill deepened yesterday with the Senate requesting for original copy of the bill containing the signature page earlier sent to the President for assent.
President Jonathan in a letter to Senate President, David Mark, on Wednesday, said he would not assent to the amendments because they do not satisfy the strict requirements of Section 9(3) of the 1999 Constitution.

Assurances by Senate President, David Mark, on the resolve of the nation’s parliament to work towards the passing of the lingering Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) is a very welcome development, coming against the background of spirited opposition by interest groups who have contrived to block the passage of a well thought-out policy that is meant to boost the revenue base of the country and better the lot of Nigerians.
