The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southwest said it received report of the Corona virus19 infection of its leader, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, wishing him well as he battles it frontally.
A statement by its National Vice Chairman, Dr Eddy Olafeso, said: “We are certain that his exposure to this highly contagious virus was in line of duty as he was in the fore front of actions in Oyo State to decisively arrest the scourge of this vicious COVID-19 virus, this underscores his commitment to the well-being of the state and nation.
“We are, however, aware that scores of us have been in contact with His Excellency in recent times, therefore, it is apt to declare that in full consistency with his desires, we should all isolate and do the needful by getting tested”.
Olafeso encouraged Nigerians to obey government restriction orders and stay safe at this difficult period.
