Issues relating to career choice, understanding job application processes, interviews, business communication skills and how to create a balance with career and family life top discussions at the inaugural Career Life and Money Conference which held in Lagos recently.
Organized by The School of Life, the conference at The Zone Conference Centre in Lagos offered participants to develop more functional strategies on forging career parts as well as compare notes on unique selling points of some career.
The session was an opportunity for young and mid-level professionals to be equipped with the knowledge and information needed to excel in their chosen careers.
Senior executives who have worked in leading organizations were there to share their career journeys as well as provide guidance to participants on how to navigate the career path, how to build a conscious career, financial management, excelling at work and managing life’s challenges.
Facilitators at the conference included Adetomi Soyinka who is British Council Director Education, Enterprise and Skills, Tim Melaye who is the Country Head, ECOWAS-GIABA, Abosede George-Ogan, LSETF Director Strategy Partnerships and Stakeholder Management ,OyebanjoOloyedeAriyo, CEO AerialView Communications Africa and Winston Ailemoh, Seasoned Commercial Operations Consultant.
Speaking at the event, Founder, The School of Life and Convener of The Career Life and Money Conference Mr. Motola Oyebanjo noted that “With The School of Life, we are creating unique learning experiences that help people succeed in their career and lives including coaching sessions, conferences and courses. The Career Life and Money Conference is one of such initiatives.
