Remains of late Eze Njemanze laid to rest

THE remains of the Late traditional ruler  of Owerri  community in Imo State HRH Eze Emmanuel Emenyonu Njemanze, Ozuruigbo the 5th of Owerri were last weekend  laid to rest in his home.
In a sermon  during the burial service,  the bishop of Owerri diocese (Anglican Communion) The Rt. Rev. Cyril  Okorocha,  enjoined Christians to relate  with others as well as  remember the day of reckoning with God, adding that the Bible  urges  man to forgive others  so that our father  in heaven can forgive them.
Bishop Okorocha told Christians  to beware that no sin ever goes unpunished except  one repents  and begs for forgiveness,  just as he advised the political  class to have the will and courage  to correct the wrongs and serve the people well.
Eze  Njemanze was a knight  of St Christopher  in the Anglican  church, and after graduating from the university  of Nigeria Nsukka  as a pharmacist, he went into the civil service and retired as the Chief Pharmacist at the General Hospital New FMC Owerri, Imo State.
He was married to Lady Pauline Njemanze a chief  Registrar in the Imo State judiciary and blessed with children. Among  those that attended the service were,  the two former governors  of Imo State, Gen. Ike Nwachukwu and Sir Ikedi Ohakim, others were Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the Deputy Gov. of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Chief Emeka Ihedioha (former deputy Speaker  House of Reps) Prof. Anthony Anwuka, Minister of State (Educated) Amb. Kema Chikwe, Chief Onyewuchi Ezenwa of the House of Reps, Sir Mike Ahamba(SAN), Justice Nnenna  Oti, chancellor Diocese of Ohaji/Egbema, Mr. Pascal Dozie Chairman of  MTN Nigeria.
Others were Bishop Emma Maduwuike of Ikeduru Diocese, bishops Emeritus, Rt. Rev. Prof. Emma Iheagwam, Rt. Rev. Alfred Nwizuzu, Justice B.A. Njemanze, Major  Gen. Ogbonna, Knight and ladies of St Christopher and the UNN Alumni association.
