Super Eagles winger, Samuel Kalu has appealed to yet-to-be-identified gunmen who abducted his mother to free her so that the family can have peace again.

Mrs. Kalu
was picked up by some unidentified gunmen along Okpulu Umuobo area of Aba in Abia State, last week.

The suspected kidnappers have established contact with the Bordeaux of France star and have reportedly demanded a ransom before her release to the family.

Speaking from his base in France, the winger urged the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, and the relevant authorities to act fast and help him secure the release of his beloved mother.

“I have been in constant touch with them and I’m hoping they let her go soon as the situation is becoming worrisome to me.

“I’m currently in France but if by Tuesday (today) or Wednesday the situation does not change then I will have to return to Nigeria and try to find a solution myself,” a pained Kalu told aoifootball.com.
