THE acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, is expected to visit Anambra State on Monday (today) for the 50th conference of the Nigerian Law Teachers Association taking place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the Director, Information and Public Relations of the institution, Dr. Emmanuel Ojukwu, Monday had been declared a lecture-free day in the university in honour of Osinbajo.
The statement read partly, “The management of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka has declared today, Monday, 12th June, 2017 as a lecture-free day.
“This is with regards to the coming of the acting President of Nigeria, His Excellency Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, and some eminent Nigerians for the the 50th conference of the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers under the distinguished chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, His Lordship, Hon. Justice S.N. Walter Onnoghen.
“The event is scheduled to hold at the university auditorium by 10am.”
Our correspondent gathered that a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, would be the guest lecturer on the occasion.
