Ohakim complain of nonavailability of voting materials

The immediate past governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim has expressed anger over the nonavailability of voting materials in Umunuma ward 11 in Isiala Mbano Local government area of the State.

Ohakim who spoke to journalists in his polling booth in Umunuma ward 11 where he disclosed that no voting materials has arrived in Umunuma ward 1 and 11.

The former governor expressed worry with nonavailability of these materials even the INEC staff are not there and the people has been waiting to cast their votes.

The governorship candidate of the Accord party noted that some polling booths in Orlu and Oguta local government areas are yet to receive the INEC voting materials.

According to him, it’s a worrisome situation we have found ourselves and he enjoined INEC to improve so that the situation would not be repeated during the governorship election proper in the 9th of March, 2019.

Ohakim said that everything is wrong with the INEC and warned them not to allow these overzealous and desperate politicians to buy them over.

He alleged that some INEC collation officers has sold their tag to these desperate politicians in order to avert the people’s wishes.He called on the INEC to display the photographs of these collation officers so that the people can actually know them.
