Transactions on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Tuesday sustained declining profile as the value of equities declined N20 billion.
Specifically, Market capitalization of listed equities went down by 0.15 per cent to N13.158 trillion from N13.173 trillion traded on Monday.
The NSE All Share Index dropped by 42.26 basis point to 27047.58 points from 27089.84 point reported the previous day. Investors traded 364.217 million shares worth N4.862 billion in 4629 deals against 290.490 million shares worth N4.294 billion in 2900.00
A review of investment during the day showed that Dangote Flour Mills Nigeria Plc led gainers table during the day, gaining N1.25 kobo to close at N22.25 kobo, MTN Nigeria Plc followed with a gain of N0.45 kobo to close at M138.kobo, Guaranty Trust Bank gained N0.35 to close at N26.85 kobo, FBNHoldings added N0.35 kobo to close at N5.000 and Nigerian Breweries added N0.20 kobo to close at N50.75 kobo.
On the contrary, Nestle Nigeria Plc recorded the highest loss, declining by N56.00 to close at N1080.00, Cement Company of Northern Nigeria trailed with a loss of N1.15 kobo to close at N16.25 kobo, Dangote Cement industry fell by N0.70 kobo to close at N155.00, Forte Oil down by N0.50 kobo to close at N14.00 while UACN sheds N0.40 kobo to N6.20 kobo
The result further showed that Guaranty Trust Bank was the most active stock during the day, exchanging 78.637 million shares valued at N2.115 billion, Courtville followed with account of 49.016 million shares worth N10.704 million, Access Bank traded 43.875 million shares cost N301.920 million, Zenith Bank sold 40.299 million shares valued at N732.934 million while FBN Holdings traded 36.505 million shares values at N179.854 million.
