NSE All-Share Index dips by 271.08 points

Trading activities at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) reopened on a negative note as the market All-Share Index depreciated by 271.08 points.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the All-Share Index declined by 0.88 per cent to close at 30,492.30 against 30,763.38 posted on Friday.
The market capitalisation, which opened at N10,.156 trillion, lost N90 billion or 0.88 per cent to close at N10.066 trillion due to price losses by some blue chip equities.
Seplat led the losers’ chart with a loss of N29.83 to close at N295 per share.
Guinness came second with N5.61 to close at N117, while Flour Mill lost N4.24 to close at N39.49 per share.
Nigerian Breweries dipped N2.09 to close at N143.5 and UACN went down by N1.9 to close at N36.1 per share.
Conversely, Forte Oil topped the gainers’ chart, gaining N9.32 to close at N216.9 per share.
Betaglas garnered N1.2 to close at N216.9, while Ikeja Hotels rose by 19k to close at N4 per share.
Custodyins improved by 16k to close at N3.6 and Fidson appreciated by 15k to close at N3.24 per share.
NAN reports that FBN Holdings emerged the most traded stock, accounting for 58.90 million shares worth N505.27 million.
NEM Insurance followed with a turnover of 50.68 million shares worth N30.91 million, while FCMB traded 43.66 million shares valued N124.51 million.
Zenith Bank transacted 27.05 million valued N463.07 million, while UBA sold 22.12 million shares worth N87.19 million.
In all, a total of 372.641 million shares worth N3.00 billion were traded by investors in 4,179 deals.
This was against the 390.609 million shares valued at N4.68 billion traded in 3,680 deals on Friday.
