Lack of roads our major problem in Karim Lamido -Hassan

Lack of roads is said to be hampering development in Karim Lamido Local government Area, Taraba State.

The newly-turbanned son of the soil Babangida Hassan disclosed this in an interview with journalists in Mutum Daya shortly after been turbaned by the Chief of Wurkum, Alhaji Abubakar Haruna Kirim as the Katukan Wurkum.

He said the area was blessed with various Minerals that if harness will bring development to the area and the state at large.

He mentioned some of the roads to include Karim Lamido – Lau to Jalingo, Karim Lamido – Mutum Daya among others.

He called on Tarabans to support the present administration under the rescue captain, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku to reap more dividends of democracy.

He stressed the need for peaceful co-existence among tribes and religions in the Local government.

“Without peace there will be no development for you cannot do anything or even eat.  I call on other traditional rulers to emulate our two traditional rulers, I am talking of The Chief of Wurkum Alhaji Abubakar Haruna Kirim and Chief of Old Muri, Alhaji Baba Chiroma, for promoting peaceful co existence in the area, you can see what is happening in some parts of the state, but in Karim Lamido there is peace’, he said..

He urged stakeholders of every local government to support their Traditional rulers for peace to rain in their domains.

He thanked Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku for appointing a son of the soil Alhaji Danjuma Ayuba as a commissioner in his cabinet.

” I call on the people of Karim Lamido to continue to support Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku, for he has done well, see the Bambur General Hospital is wearing a new look and equipmed, let us continue to support the Governor for him to do more for us”, he stated.
