It was Rosalym Carter who once revealed that “A leader takes people where they want to go. A great and good leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be”.

Idowu Iluyomade, a seasoned leader, administrator and Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is one man who has demonstrated a great capacity to lead men where they ought to be and shown that nothing so conclusively proves a man’s ability to lead others as what he does from day to day to lead himself.

The measure of  this great man of our time is seen in terms of the strength of his leadership commitments, the genuineness of his friendships, the sincerity of his purpose, the quiet courage of his convictions, his capacity to suffer and his willingness to endure in order to achieve success and put smiles in the lives of many.

Despise him with every fibre in your vein, treasure him with every air you breathe or be apathetic to his style, philosophy and essence, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade is a man you could say has fulfilled his destiny at 60.

He is clearly one of the leaders in Nigeria that has distinguished himself not only as a dynamic business administrator, innovative manager, and technocrat but also shown a high degree of integrity and transparency in both private, religious, and public affairs.

His ingenious, creative, pragmatic and resilient approach to leadership has brought a lot of transformation to his parish in RCCG which has continued to be a leading light among all the RCCG parishes and the church of Christ at large.

As a Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor ID as he is fondly called presides over Region 20 (Apapa Family) of the RCCG, Headquartered at City of David and also the Special Assistant to the General Overseer for CSR.

He is an advocate who enjoys the essence of advocacy and attends court regularly representing high net worth clients and bluechip companies. His interest lies in commercial practice especially in the area of International Trade Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, International Joint Ventures, Energy Law, Commercial Law, to mention a few.

His character and actions epitomize the true face of Christianity, patriotism, nationalism, and optimism as he is leading a new agenda for pure Christian living and integrity in the market place.

Idowu Iluyomade attended the International School, University of Ibadan. He trained as a lawyer at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife and graduated with a LLB Hons degree in 1981. He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar in 1982 and has since been in private legal practice.

Pastor Idowu is the Chairman of Visible Assets Limited. He is currently the Vice-Chairman of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye Endowment Fund at the Universities of Lagos and Ibadan. He is also the Acting Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Redeemers’ University (RUN) Ede.

He has authored various books including: Eat This, Not Ashamed, Between the Mother Hen and the Bad Mamas, Caught Red Handed, God’s Comprehensive Insurance Policy, Deliverance from the Snare of the Fowler, Atlast!  among others.

He is happily married to wife Pastor  (Mrs) Siju Iluyomade and they are blessed with children.

As we celebrate the life of a corporate leader and icon at 60, a man of great repute, leader of men, a man with dignity, an achiever, a man of the people for the people, a Philanthropist  and Christian per excellence Idowu Iluyomade; it can be said that his philosophy of  life  is fortified by his deep personal commitment to the self-worth of work being more treasured and ensuring he put smiles in the life of many.

 Idowu Iluyomade stands high as a real global and Nigerian christian from the southwest. His love for God and humanity is highly contagious. He is without questioning a visionary entrepreneur who has over the years been working unobtrusively to support all kinds of people, essentially the needy.
