The former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode on Tuesday reacted as President Muhammadu Buhari named Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, Mohammed Adamu as the new Acting Inspector General of Police, IGP.

Fani-Kayode lamented that Buhari was replacing the outgoing IGP, Ibrahim Idris with Mohammed, who hails from the North.

In a tweet, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain dared “Buhari and his men” to accept the fact that Nigeria does not “begin and end in the North.”

According to Fani-Kayode: “Another northerner appointed as I-G of Police and another northerner earmarked to replace Onnoghen as CJN. When will Buhari and his men accept the fact that Nigeria does not begin and end in the north? When will he acknowledge the fact that southerners are human beings as well?”

We had earlier reported that Buhari decorated Mohammed with his new rank as the IGP.Mohammed had served as the Commissioner of Police in Enugu State.
