Transactions on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Tuesday remained negative, shedding N82 billion.
Specifically, Market Capitalization of listed equities declined by 0.61 per cent to N13.341 trillion from N13.423 trillion reported on Monday. The NSE All Share Index also depreciated by 167.28 basis points to 27407.04 points from 27574.32 points traded the previous day.
Investors during the day traded 198.034 million shares valued at N2.898 billion in 3830 deals against 271.236 million shares worth N2.905 billion in 4795 deals.
An analysis of the investment showed that Airtell Africa recorded the highest loss during the day, shedding N31.50 kobo to close at N283.50 kobo, Flour Mills Nigeria Plc trailed with a loss of N0.50 kobo to close at N13.00, NCR down by N0.45 kobo to close at N4.50 kobo, Custodian and Investment Plc declined by N0.30 kobo to close at N6.00 while Zenith Bank Plc fell by N0.30 to close at N18.80 kobo.
On the contrary, Stanbic IBTC led gainers table during the day, gaining N2.35 kobo to close at N37.50 kobo, Okomu oil Palm followed with a gain of N2.05 kobo to close at N54.95 kobo, PZ Cusson gained N0.55 kobo to close at N6.45 kobo, Cement Company of Northern Nigeria added N0.45 kobo to close at N16.60 kobo, Nascon grew by N0.40 kobo to close at N13.40 kobo
The result further showed that Access Bank Plc was the most active stock during the day, exchanging 57.817 million shares worth N434.188 million Zenith Bank followed with 19.988 million shares worth N382.225 million, Sterling Bank Plc sold 10.371 million shares valued at N23.460 million, FBNHoldings traded 10.357 million shares valued at N55.916 million while United Bank for Africa exchanged 9.315 million shares cost N59.786 million
