Equity market closed 4th trading session in green, gained 0.40%

The Nigerian equities market closed the fourth trading session of the week in green, gaining 0.40per cent. Similarly, market breadth index was positive with 23 gainers against 15 stocks that declined.

Neimeth +9.84per cent was the top gainer today while Etranzact -9.87per cent led the losers’ chart. Diamond Bank was the most actively traded with about 59million units of shares worth N125million

Interestingly, the NSE Industrial Index rose by 2.04per cent, due to the improvements in CCNN +4.55per cent, Dangcem +1.06per cent and WAPCO +0.40per cent.

NSE Oil & Gas index gained 0.51per cent, on the back of the advancements in FO +2.55per cent and Mobil +2.17per cent.

Also, the NSE consumer goods index closed up by 0.28per cent, largely driven by the buy interests in PZ +7.73per cent, NB +0.96per cent and Dangflour +0.78per cent.

NSE Banking index shed 0.26per cent, following the losses in Fidelity -2.44per cent, Zenith Bank -1.14per cent, FCMB -1.09per cent and Stanbic -1.05per cent.
