The Nigerian equities market closed the fourth trading session of the week negative, losing 1.33 % .Similarly, market breadth index was negative with 12 gainers against 23 stocks that declined.
Today’s performance was driven by the losses in ABCTRANS 9.86 per cent Diamond Bank 9.59%) Jaizbank 9.09per cent, Johnholt-9.09 per cent, Livestock 8.77 per cent and FCMB 8.33 per cent which outweighed the gains iKEJA HOTEL (+9.80per cent), BENEFIT (+8.70per cent) and ACCESS +7.14per cent.S
Sector Performance were broadly negative with Industrial ( ._214%) having the worst performance, followed by Banking (-1.79%), Oil & Gas (-0.05%). However, Consumer Goods (+0.05%)closed up.
In terms of activity level, total volume and total value increased by 101% and 63% respectively, as investors exchanged 442million units of shares worth N4.46billion. UNIVINSURE was the most actively traded with 150million units of shares worth about N30million.
