Covid19: JOHESU Tasks members to Join in efforts to end the pandemic

The Joint Health Sector Unions, JOHESU and the Assembly of Healthcare Professionals, AHPA have appealed to its members nationwide to participate actively in the efforts geared towards ending the Covid 19 Pandemic in the country.

A statement by JOHESU president, Comrade Biobelemonye Joshia and Secretary, Comrade Florence Ekpebor released to newsmen in Abuja urges health workers to put in their best in stemming the spread and threat to lives posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The statement observes that despite the agitations among health workers over unkept promises from Federal and States Government, health workers remains in the forefront as the first responders in stemming the spread of the pandemic.

It salute the commitment and patriotism shown by members so far, especially those in border points, emergency units, ICU as well as various isolation centres and called on both Federal and States Government to provide the needed tools like PPEs and other necessary gadgets for the protection of its members at this trying time of our nation.

While appealing to Nigerians to adhere strictly to safety standards of living to prevent further spread, the statement enjoins states government to include health workers fully in all Task Forces and Committees set up to combat the pandemic.
