Covid-19: Stay at home, Gov Ishaku tells civil servants

Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku  has  ordered the civil servants in the  to stay home.

A  press release  signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hassan Mijinyawa   and made available to newsmen in Jalingo, said  the decision was to enable government monitor the situation on Covid-19 pandemic.
The  release directed civil servants  from Grade level 1 – 12 to stay at home for two weeks, starting from Wednesday, 25th March, 2020.
 It further stated that, those on essential services have been exempted from the directive.
It  also explained  that Governor  Ishaku urged Tarabans to effect social distancing and observe good sense of hygiene.
The Governor had  earlier directed the closure of all government and private schools across the state, to prevent the possible spread of Corona virus pandemic.
