A community leader in Uke, Barrister Lawrence Emejulu has urged Governor Willie Obiano to direct his developmental attention to include issues former Governor Peter Obi left untouched.Emejulu stated this at Uke, Anambra State while exchanging views with some newsmen on issues bordering on economic development in the country.

Emejulu who listed the neglected areas to include water supply and revitalization of moribund industries in the state noted that Governor Obiano has done well in the area of security, payment of workers’ salaries, among others things  and urge the governor to  revitalize the Anambra State  water corporation so as to enable it supply water to all parts of the state.

He however noted that the problem of water supply and electricity had continued to linger in the state adding that water had become an issue no government ever wanted to delve into.

“Water is very essential to life. Unfortunately no government ever wanted to look in into that issue which has eventually become a problem in the state. My children cannot tell what a pipe-borne water is. I urge governor Obiano to revitalize water supply system in the state. The governor is doing well. But he should look into those essential areas and issues his predecessor, former governor Peter Obi left untouched”, Emejulu said.

On the forthcoming governorship election in the state, Barrister Emejulu expressed dissatisfaction with INEC over the conduct of the last governorship election in the state and enjoined the electoral body to strategize on making the election worthwhile pointing out that the last election in the state was bed ridden with irregularities.
