CLO, TUC gives kudos to Dickson on projects development

CHINEDU WOSU, Yenagoa

LEADERSHIP of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Bayelsa State has thumped up Governor Seriake Dickson for the ongoing construction of developmental projects including the new Government office and 18-storey tower hotel in the state.
Immediate past Secretary, Comrade Morris Alagoa, CLO, described the performance of Governor Dickson in the area of infrastructure as welcoming and impressive.
SukareWeneso of TUC said with the construction of bridges and roads, the present administration has added value to lives of the people in the state.
Comrade Morris Alagoa of the Civil Liberties Organisation(CLO) and Mr.SukareWeneso of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) made their separate positions known in Yenagoa after visiting various projects embarked upon by Dickson administration.
“I am impressed by the level of development that I saw at each project site visited. I commend the state governor on the improved development witnessed in the state. And whatever is left should be done.”
On his part, Mr. Sukare Weneso of the TUC said “I have witnessed the progress being made by the present administration and we are grateful.”
Conducting the Civil Right Activists and media on the tour, Commissioner of Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Lawrence Erudwjakpor said though some of the projects have been amended to meet standard requirements in design and safety.
At the site of the new Government office, the Works commissioner noted that the car park would witness an amendment.
Our correspondent reports that projects visited include the new Government office project, the-Elebele road, the Tower Hotel, the collapse Imiringi project, Ecumenical Centre, the cargo Airport and the Federal Medical Centre Houseman-ship quarters.
