One of the governorship aspirants under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abia state, Chief Eric Acho Nwakanma has said that he understands the problems of Abia state more than other aspirants jostling for the seat.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony of his campaign office at Aba, Nwakanma, who was a two-time deputy governor of the state, explained that his former position has prepared him for the job as one with the greatest experience in governance.

The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Ayodele Fayose has charged the 2014Batch ‘C’ members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) torespect constituted authorities in the various communities where theyare posted to serve.Dr. Fayose gave the charge at Ise-Ekiti during the closing ceremony ofthe 2014 Batch ‘C’ Orientation course.

The recent demand by Ikorodu indigene in Lagos State to produce the next Governor of the state of excellence in 2015 general elections has generated various reactions among political analysts across the country.
Their agitation according to report was based on equity, competence and promoting the existing unity among Lagosians, noting that any political party that failed to give its governorship ticket to Ikorodu indigene should forget about winning the gubernatorial seat in 2015.

As the decision by the leadership of the ruling People’s Democratic Party in Abia State to zone its 2015 governorship ticket to Abia South senatorial district continues to raise dust in the polity, the Ukwa people in the zone insist they should rather be allowed to produce the governor.    Their argument is hinged on the alleged truce between Senators and the Presidency in which two serving Senators were said to have been granted automatic return ticket.
