Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose has said that his administration would continue to partner with the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) and other relevant development partners in the task of making the state better.
Speaking in Ado Ekitirecently, Governor Fayose who spoke through the State Head of Service, Mr. OlubunmiFamosaya said that the state has embraced the structure of the one-stop-shop aid coordination, adding that his administration would welcome all sincere efforts to develop the state.

A civil society group, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has asked the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), MrEkpoNta to “urgently and transparently investigate allegations of corruption in Lagos State Councils and to bring to justice suspected perpetrators.”

Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the State Government would use every legal and constitutional means to ensure the trial of the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Jide Awe for alleged murder.
The party contended that Awe, who is standing trial over alleged murder of Mr. Ayo Jeje and Mrs.JulianahAdewumi won’t escape justice, in spite of the verdict of the Federal High Court, Jos , Plateau State, which had granted him interlocutory injunction, restraining the police and other security agencies from arresting him.

Anambra State governor’s wife Mrs. EbelechukwuObiano has advocated for drastic measures and institution of reforms to bring about an end to human rights violation and violence against women and girls.
Speaking on the occasion of the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women organized by the International Association of World Peace Advocates at Women Development Centre (WDC), Awka, Chief (Mrs.) Obiano, regretted that violent and abusive practices against women have continued over the years. She noted that often, violence against women is fuelled by discriminatory practices, such that across the world, women are beaten, raped, mutilated, and killed with impunity.

The continuous rise in unplanned pregnancies worldwide has become a disturbing issue to many experts in not only in Nigeria, but other parts of the world.
Research puts it that not less than 80 million unplanned pregnancy, 20 million unsafe abortions and 30 million unplanned births are recorded every year in the world as over 200 million women lack access to effective and affordable family planning.

Governor Adams Eric AliyuOshiomhole of Edo State has congratulated Maj.-Gen MuhammaduBuhari on his emergence as the Presidential flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2015 General election.
In a statement, Oshiomhole also gave kudos to the other Presidential aspirants of the party for a gallant fight and urged them to join hands with the party’s candidate to scale the next hurdle.

Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, HajiaZainabMaina has expressed worry over the increasing rate of sexual violence, especially rape and abductions, in the country.
She stated this recently while briefing newsmen on the commemoration of the International Day of Elimination of Violence Against women in Abuja.
