 Thirty-one generals of the Nigerian Army who retired between January 2014 and April this year after the mandatory 35 years in service were yesterday pulled out of service with the former Chief of Police and Plans, Major General Essien Bassey insisting that the Army must imbibe sound professionalism in the conduct of its duties no matter the nature or degree of importance of the assignment.

 

The NEPAD Business Foundation (NBF) in partnership with the African Leadership Initiative (ALI), Brand South Africa (Brand SA) and the South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) hosted the ‘Business Action Against Xenophobia’ (BAAX) Forum on Thursday, 23 April 2015 at the Nedbank Head Office in Sandton, Johannesburg.

There was a rowdy session at the Edo State branch of the Nigeria Labour Congress delegate conference meeting held to elect a new leadership that will pilot the affairs of the union in Benin City.

A shouting bout had occurred in a faction of the NLC, between workers under the employment of the Edo government and the government over unpaid salaries during the state delegate Congress.
