Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has described his governorship as a mandate freely and wholeheartedly given by Ekiti people, saying; “Ekiti people who are the owners of my mandate will defend it against political usurpers, whom they had rejected twice in the last nine months.”

Pope Francis has called for peace “above all” in Syria, Iraq and Nigeria during his traditional Easter Sunday message.
He urged the international community to address the “immense humanitarian tragedy” in war ravaged countries.
The Pope also called for peace in the Holy Land, Ukraine, Libya, Yemen,  Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
And he once again referred to the persecution of Christians in many countries.

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday urged Nigerian voters to repeat what they did at the Presidential and National Assembly elections, which produced the President-elect, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the election  during the April 11 governorship and state assembly elections .

Lagos State Government at the weekend debunked the alleged statement by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Minimum Wage in the State’s Civil Service saying the State Government remains the first State in the Federation that implemented the Federal Government approved Minimum Wage structure.
