Babington-Ashaye harps on role of women in corporate world

The 48th President and Chairman of Council, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Funmi Babington-Ashaye, has emphasised the importance and increasing role of women in corporate and economic driven activities, stating that it is helping to complement their core role as wife and mothers in the family.

NCRIB urges govt to patronise insurance brokers

The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), the umbrella association of all Insurance brokers in Nigeria, has called on the three tiers of governments to insure their assets and employees through registered insurance brokers.
The Council’s President,Shola Tinubu,who said this at the 2018 CEOs Retreat of the association in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, said insurance brokers play a major role in insurance value chain.

NDIC assists Uganda Deposit Protection Fund


The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) is assisting the Uganda Deposit Protection Fund (DPFU) to develop capacity to implement the Deposit Insurance System (DIS) in the East African country.

Regency Alliance Insurance announces N3.368bn GPW

One of the underwriting firms, Regency Alliance Insurance has announced a Gross Premium Written (GPW) of N3.368 billion during the period ended September 31, 2017.The figure is higher than N3.10 billion recorded in the same period in 2016, indicating 8.61 percent increase, while N5.58 billion, a 30 percent increase from N4.30 billion in 2015.
