Stay clear clear of NSITF, management warns Ngige

The Management of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has neither suspended it’s board nor make any announcement as regards to any suspension mentioned in the media even as it warned the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senators Chris Ngige not to overreach himself.

 Dr. Ladi Awosika, the chairman of Total Health Trust Limited, has also served as a member of several committees of the Nigerian National Health Insurance Scheme. He has over the years been involved in health care financing, development and delivery of the private health care in Nigeria. PTAD set to Pay One-Off outstanding entitlements to verified ex-workers of NAHCO

Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) said that it is now ready to pay the first batch of the verified Ex-Workers and Next of Kin (NoK) of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) in line with the takeover approval of pension- related matters of some agencies, privatized/liquidated by the Bureau of Public Enterprises in 2017, among which is the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO). Zenith General Insurance’s pre-tax profit rises hits N3.67bn

Zenith General Insurance Limited has released its full-year financial results for the year ended 31 December 2019. A review of the results showed positive improvements on a year-on-year basis with profit before tax rising by 16% from N3.16bn to N3.67bn while profit after tax rose by 10% up from N2.79bn to N3.06bn. The company also maintained a robust balance sheet closing the year with total assets of N40.1bn and a shareholders’ fund of N25.9bn.

The Nigerian insurance industry has continued to see the need to put insurance education at the front burner of its consideration in recent times. Operators have resolved not to be lax anymore about telling all those who care that insurance remains the last hope of the common man, especially at a time of loss or unexpected calamity. In Nigeria, the poor acceptance of insurance, which is due to multifarious reasons, makes the people lag behind their contemporaries in other advanced climes where insurance is life itself. In those countries, everything is insurance. From life, motor, building, household items, shipment etc. Any endeavour that is risk prone has a tag of insurance on them.
