SERVICOM management has threatened to publish the names of all universities that are not delivering quality service in their various institutions.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on  SERVICOM, Mr. Sylbriks Obriki, stated this in Abuja at the formal presentation of compliance evaluation report to the management of National Universities Commission, (NUC).
Obriki said  the  SERVICOM would partnered with the Commission to access the performance levels of Universities in Nigeria.

It was a colourful atmosphere at the solemnization of the holy matrimony between Dr. Ruth, daughter of the Deputy Rector in charge of administration of the Federal Polytechnic Offa’, Dr. Ayodele Olaosebikan and her heartthrob, Dr. Jones Akinbobola.
The wedding was conducted at the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Ojoku Road, Offa by Reverend S. O. Oshoaro, the officiating Minister for the ceremony. In his sermon, Rev. Oshoaro advised the new couple to guard their home jealously and always discourage external interference in their affairs.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State Tuesday commissioned three blocks of eighteen classrooms at Ekiuwah Primary School, Uteh, Ivbiyeneva Primary School and Idogbo Primary School all in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the state.
Inaugurating the projects, Oshiomhole said “I am so excited to be here. I remember very well during my electioneer campaigns, I visited Uteh and I stopped at this school. I saw Edo Children living in Uteh , sitting on the floor of a classroom with dust all over the place and I remember I saw a female teacher who came to class with a plastic chair and I asked the young lady, ‘why will you bring a plastic chair to the school? And she said, ‘as you can see there are no chairs or tables even for the teachers and there is no need to talk of bench for the pupils and the classrooms are leaking everywhere.

Participants at the recently held 9th Nigerian Network Operators Group (Ng NOG) Workshop 2014 have been advised to get back to base and teach others in order to raise a team.
The advice was given by the Vice-Chancellor, Covenant University, Professor Charles Ayo, in his remarks at the dinner organized to round-off the 5-day capacity building workshop hosted by Covenant University.

Rotary Club of Agege, District 9110, Nigeria, has declared open scholarship for students of Agege Local Government of Lagos State who may have been confronted with financial challenges in the pursuit of their academic dreams.
Announcing the offer was District Governor of the Club, Dr. Dele Balogun, during the commissioning of some projects bank-rolled by the club in the area recently.

THE Honourable Okey Ezenwa-led Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Offa (FEDPOFFA) has, at her 7th Regular Meeting, ratified the reappointment of three Principal Officers of the Polytechnic. They are Dr. Kuburat Ayodele Olaosebikan, Deputy Rector, Administration; Alh. AbdulHamid Raji, Registrar and Mr. Paul Kehinde Adegbemi, Bursar.
The reappointment which takes effect from 9th of April, 2nd of January and 15th of March, 2015 respectively, is for the second and final term of the Officers in office.

THE Federal Government said it has concluded plans to stage another National Education Summit, which aim is to review progress and challenges still militating against the sector.
Recall that the present administration convened the last education summit in 2012 where most stakeholders reeled out various challenges be-devilling the sector since the attainment of independence in 1960 and came up with far reaching recommendations that could save the system.

THE management of Abia State University Uturu (ABSU), has announced a downward review of tuition fees of its students.
Vice- Chancellor, Professor Chibuzor Ogbuagu, who announced this at a pre-convocation press conference, at the school said the reduction in fee was in response to appeals by students and to ensure no desiring Abian was denied an opportunity to acquire tertiary education.
