THE announcement April 25 by the Burundian  ruling party, the National Council for the Defense of Democracy-Forces for the Defense of Democracy (CNDD-FDD) nominating Burundi’s President Pierre Nkurunziza as its candidate for the scheduled June presidential election was an aberration capable and has in fact set that nation in turmoil.

Now that the rains are here in parts of the country, it is predictable that there will be floods, the effect of which may be untoward.
Therefore, members of the public should be sensitive to the consequence of flooding by avoiding dumping of refuse into the drainage channels in order to curb it at the peak of the rainy season.

Although Senator Uche Chukwumerije was alive on December 16, 2014 to debunk the rumour of his death the previous day, December 15, when it was alleged that he slumped and died following a shock he allegedly had after losing his bid to return to the senate  for the third consecutive time, death eventually crept up to him on Monday April 20, 2015.
