Mob Attack On Checkpoint: Police Arrest 13 Suspects In Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has announced the arrest of 13 suspects for the alleged murder of a policeman and burning of four police vehicles during Thursday’sattack on a checkpoint along Onitsha/Owerri Road. The announcement was made in a statement signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police Nkieruka Owude, Anambra State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO) on behalf the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Garba Baba Umar.

Justice Abdulaziz Anka  of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi,  Lagos,  on Monday,  April 24, 2017,  struck out a N100m fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by a former Minister of State for Defence,  Musiliu  Obanikoro,  against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  on the grounds of incompetence.

Justice Efreti Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Asaba, Delta State, has ordered that Mrs. Fidelia Omoile, a serving Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) official in Isoko- South Local Government Area of Delta State, be remanded in prison custody following her arraignment on Monday, on a two- count amended charge, bordering on conspiracy and money laundering, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
