Pilots at Lufthansa have called for mediation to cover all areas of their dispute with the German airline’s management, not only the early retirement row that has resulted in 10 strikes this year.
Lufthansa offered last week to enter mediation to resolve the long-running dispute over early retirement benefits, seeking to halt the pummelling it was taking from repeated industrial action.

It was a dream come true for Amadin Samuel Ihegie as he emerged the winner of the Spirit of Lagos Song Contest. He polled a total of 2,782 votes to defeat the other top contestants.
The contest which was flagged off on August 29, 2014 saw well over 238 entries which were later screened and reduced to top five songs by a panel of judges that included seasoned and credible professionals in the music industry.

It was a day of joy for Miss Juliet Onyinyechi Ofodile  as she was announced winner of the Mr. Chef First Lady Reality Show at the Shell Hall of the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos on Friday, 21 November, 2014.
The 23-year old undergraduate of the University of Lagos 18 other contestants at the grand finale of the Show that was designed to discover the total woman who best epitomized the essence of womanhood.

In statement made available to newsmen in Lagos , the Head Corporate Communication British council  Desmond Omovie said that the  programme aims to gather ideas on sector development strategies and reinforce young people’s capacity to participate and lead policy and sector development.
According to him the  project will stimulate solution focused debate and discourse based on already articulated growth barriers to the Nigerian Creative Industries.

Police in Kenya are consulting technical experts to determine if 77 Chinese nationals arrested with advanced communications equipment in several houses in an upscale Nairobi neighborhood were committing espionage.
The Chinese were arrested since the weekend with equipment that Kenya’s Daily Nation newspaper said was capable of hacking into government servers.
