*DELAYED ACCREDITATION FOR 50 MINUTES IN OTUOKE

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and his wife Dame Patience Jonathan including his mother experienced a little setback in his hometown, Otuoke Community as the INEC card readers device rejected his PVC and that of his wife at the ward 13 polling Unit.
Following the rejection of Jonathan and his wife data by the Jega devices, Jonathan and the wife were denied early accreditation by INEC for over 50 minutes.
Jonathan accompanied by his wife and mother came for the accreditation at about 9.20am, but were delayed by the device for over 50 minutes 10.10am under the intense heat of the sun.
After the huge disappointment by Prof Jega carder reader to President Jonathan and his wife, officials of INEC later battled with the devices and accredited President Jonathan and his wife at about 11am setting them prepared to cast their votes.
Although, several minutes later, the card reader went through on other voters permanent Voters Card PVC who were also waiting curiously to have their accreditation done.
President Jonathan who was busy sweating while the Independent National Electoral Officers INEC were busy manipulating the device in the presence of the state Electoral Commissioner, Baritor Kpagha advised Nigerians not to be worried as the device only could not pick his data and his wife.
Speaking to newsmen on the delay, Jonathan said there may be some delays in the process, but cannot speak for INEC, as he appealed to the electorate to be patience and not to take the laws into their hands.
He further said that information available to him indicated that some constituencies in Jigawa and some part of Edo states , INEC is experiencing minor hiccups.
Jonathan said in his own case only his data and that of the wife were not verified, but other eligible voters were processed by the INEC.
“No matter the delays or hitches, all Nigerians want is peaceful and credible election, nobody should take the laws into his or her hand, but be patient”
Hear Jonathan, “any sacrifice is what yanking, please don’t go riotous, don’t take the laws into your hands, have patient with the INEC, our election must surely count”
The President appealed to Nigerians, electorates to endure no matter the pains it takes as far as credible, peaceful and transparent polls is put in place and not to go riotous as a nation
According to him, “Nigeria election is very important, all the world are watching, I just received a letter from the United States of America, Ghana, Senegal, and other African heads of state on the poll”
