The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Borno State, Hon. Baba Ahmed Mustapha, has defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) ahead of Saturday’s governorship elections.
Addressing newsmen in Maiduguri on Friday, Hon. Mustapha said: ” I decided to join the APC to join force to the government to move our dear state forward”
“I left PDP because the party is a party of injustice. If you look at the activities of the party it was full of injustice. So, I see no reason to remain in the party”, the former PDP secretary said.
He said he defected along with the PDP Chairmen of 12 local government areas of the state with youths and women leaders,.He further stated that more PDP members would soon join him in defecting to APC
