FRIDAY OBOH, Sokoto

The People’s Democratic Party in Sokoto State said it has noted with dismay, the unguarded claim by Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko at the APC governorship campaign rally in Gwadabawa last Saturday, that the PDP was planning to rig the up coming elections in the state.

The party said it viewed this latest spurious allegation as unfortunate and an insult on the good people of Sokoto State, who, the party stated, were not unaware of the dirty politics being promoted and sanctioned by the Senator.

The Sokoto PDP described Senator Wamako’s claims as false, pretentious and an affront on the electorate, who are living witnesses to his party’s arrogant claim of being favoured in the upcoming polls by federal authorities, especially INEC.

The PDP in Sokoto State and nation at large, expects no preferential treatment from any agency but rather it was well prepared to win all elections fair and squarely.

A statement by the state chairman of the party, Ibrahim Milgoma, said the party’s political posture has been known to be disciplined and law abiding, in spite of the provocative character of the APC.
