Northern Ireland’s hopes of making the World Cup finals for the first time since 1986 ended with Switzerland winning the play-off 1-0 on aggregate after Sunday’s stalemate in Basel.The tie was decided by Ricardo Rodriguez’s controversial penalty in Belfast but both sides wasted chances to score on a soggy St Jakob Park surface.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has described as wild allegation the claims that it intends to disrupt the Anambra governorship election on Saturday.The group said it is not true that it plans to disrupt the election, saying that its only plan is to boycott the election because it will not be anything different from others that have been conducted in Nigeria.

Chevron contributes US$5 Million to the global fund to reduce HIV Infections in Nigeria

Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL), an affiliate of Chevron Corporation (Chevron), announced on Sunday the disbursement of $2.5 million donation to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund), for the implementation of the Chevron-Global Fund Anti-Retroviral Treatment Service Maintenance Program (ART Programme), in Delta, Bayelsa, Ondo and Lagos States.
