ASUU-LAUTECH Chapter suspends strike

Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, LAUTECH, Chapter has announced  the immediate suspension of the strike action embarked upon several months ago.

Full academic activities are expected to resume on Monday 23rd October, 2017.

A statement signed by the Chairman ASSU, LAUTECH Chapter, Dr Biodun Olaniran and the Sectretatry, Dr Toyin Abegunde enjoyed all members  of the union to comply with the new directive.

The suspension was sequel to the congress held 17th October, 2017, which reviewed the on-going strike action and has decided to conditionally suspend the action in the interest of our students, the intervention of well-meaning individuals and general public.

ASUU is also, in suspending the strike, take into cognisance, efforts of the Governing Council towards an amicable resolution of the crisis.

The Union wishes to give the Governing Council and the Administration the opportunity to explore their good will in seeing to a permanent resolution of issues in contention.
